Decent food, but steep price tag. I have ate here twice. The first time the service was great, the second time the service was a little below avg..

Average place, I found it pricy for the quality of food.

Stopped in sunday to grab a burger. The place was pretty empty. It was clean and warm. Alcohol selection is good and the fries were ok. Would have rather had homemade fries. Burger was pretty awesome and the staff were extremely friendly as well.

A couple months ago, my boyfriend and I went to the Koala for our date, a friend of ours recommend this place so went. Ordered a steak, and it came out great. The food was great, staff and the atmosphere were also great

Rip off is the first thing. The menu description should have said "1/2 of Chicken Breast with Cold Mashed Potatoes and a spoonful of room temperature Veggies" $14.00 later I'm still hungry. Food tasted good and service was mediocre.

Mashed potatoes seemed instant... country fried steak suspiciously tender, maybe frozen? Prices pretty high for location. Portions for large size a little skimpy, ate it all pretty easily. The food was very tasty though!

Good choices for vegetarians. Had our second dinner in a row here. Next to best Western hotel, so a very short walk across.

New look is awesome. Great food with perfect portion sizes. Perfect kids menu. Want a good breakfast that won't disappoint than Road house 97 is your place.

Food delivery time was good, service was great, menu is ok, and prices aren't bad.

Pepper shrimp and steak. The shrimp and sauce were good, but it was poured over one of the worst steaks I have ever had. 50% of the steak was gristly, one half was almost raw, and the other 1/2 was medium well (I ordered med. rare). The baked potato was hard and cold... the butter wouldn't even melt. The meal is served with vegetables, which were the best part, and a dry dinner roll. No salad or soup is served, nor is water. My son was visiting, and requested a steak dinner....needless to say we'll head up to The Diamond (Osoyoos) for his next visit.

Nice place, great waitress service.My Chef salad @ $10.95 was shown on my bill as "1/2 Chef Salad" and I guess that was an accurate description of my meal. But at $10.95 for a half salad makes me wonder if a full chef salad would be more like $22. There was one very thin tomato slice & what appeared to be a 1/2 boiled egg plus grated cheese, ham & turkey: mostly greens though. I asked the waitress about being billed for a half salad & was informed that all their salads are 'half'. I don't believe that disclosure's on the menu. I'll go back but won't pay $11. for a half salad.

I would literally call it average. Nothing attractive about the food. Not bad, but far from exciting. This is mostly a place for drinking.

Tequila Gimlet filled a standard martini glass 1/3 full. BT said a standard martini would be the same. Said she was just following orders. Dbl burger dry. Aussie concept someones great idea but poorly executed. A Big Mac is a better burger. Uugh!

The burger looked like the picture. A tad well done, but good. Service good. Price not terrible. I'd come back.

To my dismay, they put margarine in their food! I've had to forgo some of the food after it's on my plate because of it. Don't they know that margarine is not good for you? The FDA has banned trans fats and although some margarine may be low or have none, they have additives that are not goof for your health. Butter really isn't bad for you---it's good---just don't eat a pound of it at once.

We stopped by yesterday. I had the shrimp and Fry's and my husband had Cobb salad mine was very good, I really loved it. My husband said his was good too. We sat in the bar and we had good service. We will go again.

Convenient but service was slow. Food was okay but there are better choices close by

Really nice place the food was good. Only downside is the price.

Everything there seemed like it was frozen and not fresh. I had the BBQ burger which I asked for no onions, all I got was a pre made patty with sause and a bun. My wife and daughter got chicken strips which were definitely frozen.

Kinda spendy and they dont give very much food

Food was fairly good but nothing extraordinary. Went on a Thursday night and got terrible service. I can't blame our waitress though since she seemed to be the only one there. An entire section was blocked off and she was left to service about half the restaurant by herself. We had to wander up to the bar for ketchup then 3 servers we hadn't seen all night walked by our table and asked in a very concerned tone if everything was alright. Never saw them again despite having asked for additional silverware.

A good side of the highway place to go if you need to fill up on food and are not too picky about healthy. Stereotypical "diner" side of the road, comfort fill you up food. The service was good, although our waitress clearly did not want to be there. Got a free beer because they poured the wrong one for a other customer! It was a little spend for the quality.

Good food and good service

After a vigorous hike up the Similkameen River, we returned via Omak and tried this place for a good dinner. It was good. The atmosphere was pleasant, the interior looked good, and the food above average. I would recommend it. The Aussie theme sorta lost me though.

So nice to have a change of fare while on the road. I had the dessert of the day, it was very good.

The service is great in the bar. The place is clean... especially the kitchen. The food is really good. I would totally recommend this place.

Now Is a new restaurant named Roadhouse 97 and much better than koala ever was.

Good restaurant with an Australian theme. Good variety of very good entrees and deserts.

Food is very good quality, atmosphere is nice....portions are extremely small for the price. I mentioned it and they brought more food. Only leaving 2 stars because of the coments on here, they are all the same...the owner should read them and learn from them.

Good food! New food choices added to menu and waitress was very helpful and courteous. Stop in and try this restaurant it's like being down under. "Australia"

Tasmania burger is excellent, fries are incredibly, service sucks but overall not bad.

The two usual breakfast servers not only are good on their own but work well as a team. Food is average and when changes are made to it, it's downgraded not improved.

I just had my Big Roo Stake with onions and a brownie delight as desert. All I can say is, that it was simply awesome. The meat was pretty good, and the desert really topped everything I had by now. The service on top of that was outstanding and really made me pay my bill with pleasure. Excellent place if you want to eat out!

I know one of the waiting staff she is very polite and warm. A great place to eat great laboring staff but poor management. I love the layout of the restaurant. My family has been coming here for some time I will to when I can.

Simply put, not as good as the cost suggests.

The coconut shrimp with rice is one the tastiest meals I've ever had. Yum.

Looks like this place has changed ownership and name. It’s now Roadhouse 97. It’s been remodeled and is much more pleasant. Full bar, nice folks. Great service, like really really good. OK food. Things like fresh dressing and biscuits are good when you travel through rural parts. Food is not going to blow you away, but good for this area. Prices are high compared to towns with with food competition. I’ll take it!
